Teresa Shandell Wilson, better known as “Shun,” was born on January 24, 1970, to the late Aaron Martin and Patricia Ann Wilson, both of Monroe, LA.
Shandell “Shun” departed this life on Sunday, March 31, 2024. She accepted Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Sinai Baptist Church in Monroe, LA.
She was raised in the Swartz and Burg Jones communities. She is a graduate of John Marshall High School in Chicago, IL. After moving back to Monroe, she practiced as a nursing assistant. She
worked and managed at several convenience stores all over the city, and because of this, she became very well known. She loved cooking, organizing, and playing bingo, but her greatest love was for her children and grandchildren. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend to many.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Cornell Simon Wilson, III, and grandmother, Adline Wilson.
She leaves to cherish her memories: three daughters, Anjelica Wilson, Vineque Wilson, and Oretha Wilson, all of Monroe, LA; three brothers, Earl Crosby, Jr., Dominique Crosby, and Danni Wilson (Andrea Wilson); three sisters, Rosaland Conners (Alex Conner), Kennisha Crosby, and Cynthia Crosby. She was blessed with fifteen grandchildren, one great-grandchild, four aunts, six uncles, and a host of relatives and friends.
