Annie P. Carter was born on August 11, 1940, to Willie Mae Clark and Darten Carter.
Ms. Annie was baptized at Macedonia Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Robbie Williams. Her faith was an important part of her life.
Ms. Annie was a loving woman who was always in a good mood and well known for her feisty ways. She could cook all day, and there was never a time when she was home that a meal was not prepared. Her home was always filled with warmth, love, and good food.
Ms. Annie was an amazing seamstress and she loved gardening. She was a wonderful mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished her family.
Ms. Annie was preceded in death by Marshall Smith; her mother, Willie Mae Clark; her brother, Willie P. Carter; and her sons, James W. Carter, Charles R. Carter, and Samuel Smith.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories her children: D’Ann Rhone (Ron), Flora J. Carter, Marshall L. Carter Sr. (Carla), Curtis L. Carter (Chairmon), Lester E. Carter, and Connie R. Smith; Grandchildren: Lawanda A. Bonner, James W. Carter, Jr., Chelsea K. Carter, Terrance D Harris, Anchitta F. Perkins-Holland, Angelaque Y. Perkins-Tillman, Burnell Perkins, Jr., Jai’rn J. Rhone, Artari T. Carter, Janita Q. Carter, Shannon L. Carter, Chantel R. Carter-Edmonds, Shantreece Ceasar, Marshall L. Carter, Jr., Marshall L Toston, Luther L. Carter, JaMario Hudson, Marshala L. Carter, Kortez L. Carter, Heather Carter, Bryttni Carter, Lamon Woods, Curtize Woods, Curtlynn Woods, Kolandia Woods-Brown, Shalandria Woods-Smith Brittany Carter, and Tiffany Carter; along with a host of grandchildren, great-grands and great-great-grandchildren; along with other relatives and friends.
