Karl Stringfellow Obituary

Mr. Karl Dexter Stringfellow 64, of Monroe, LA, passed on Friday, April 12, 2024. Karl was born September 30, 1959 in Monroe, Louisiana to the late Dorris Stringfellow Freeman and the late Amos Lawson. Karl was a graduate of Carroll High School’s class of 1977. After graduation, he joined the Marines in 1978.

Preceding him in death were his long-time companion Cory Weatherby to which two children were born, Nolan and Karla. Also preceding him in death, was his father, Amos Lawson, his mother, Dorris Stringfellow Freeman, step-father, Milliard Freeman, a sister, Ruby Jewel Hall, a step-sister, Ethel Buford, a brother, Elder Gregory Stringfellow, a step-brother, Willie Freeman and a close friend Billy Nunn.

After serving in the Marines, Karl worked in various industries. He relocated to Texas and worked at Wal-Mart and Denton State School.
